Barbara Wenger
Jefferson has a new fourth grade teacher. A Pennsylvania native, Barbara Wenger came to Berkeley in 1992 to earn her Masters of Divinity from Pacific School of Religion. A fluent Spanish-speaker, Barb was active in human rights work in Central America and Mexico prior to teaching.
She is thrilled to be working as a fourth-grade teacher with the wonderful staff, families and students at Jefferson and is especially excited to play her guitar with her students as they learn a new song each week.
Barb’s family includes her partner Jenn and their two boys, Elijah and Ben. Barb likes to be with her family, go camping, dream up and attempt home improvement projects, eat good food, and spend a few weeks enjoying the summer heat back on the East Coast.
