Rosemary Robinson
Rosemary has a BS in mineral engineering from the University of Alabama. She got her teaching credential from St. Mary's College in Moraga, CA in 1998. She taught for 4 years at Berkeley Arts Magnet. She has taught 6th grade, 3rd grade, Kindergarten and now 1st grade.
She grew up in a small farming town in south Alabama. As a child she enjoyed swimming, biking, playing ball, climbing trees and taking things apart to see how they worked. She also spent a lot of time in the woods playing hide and seek.
Except for our dog Shamus, my family consists of all girls: Miriam, my partner, and Esther, our daughter, who attended Jefferson and is now in Middle School.
Rosemary enjoys teaching because, as she puts it, "There just aren't any better people to be with than kids. I learn so much and my heart opens wider and wider. It's never boring!"

Parental involvement in your child's education can mean:
- Make sure your children are well rested, well fed, and on time to school
- Ask questions if something is unclear or doesn't sound right
- Read to your child every day; make it fun
- Setup a quiet place for your child to do his/her homework
- Check homework before sending it in; use notes area to give feedback about homework or your child
