Jeannie Osuna-MacIssac
Ms. Jeannie, as her students call her, comes to Jefferson with 30 years of teaching experience, mostly in Berkeley. She has taught preschool through 5th grade. The 2006-2007 school year is her second time teaching third grade. Most recently, she taught 4th graders in the Spanish Immersion Program at Rosa Parks.
Ms. Jeannie grew up in Los Angeles and came to the Bay Area for college where she majored in Art and Chicano Studies at St. Mary’s College in Moraga. She received her teaching credential at U.C. Berkeley in the Black Asian Chicano Urban Program.
When she’s not teaching, she enjoys working in her garden, figure drawing, and dancing the salsa.
