JAZ – Jefferson After-School Zone

Hello Jefferson Families!

Welcome to the Jefferson After School Zone (JAZ) information page. My name is Jessica “Ms. Jess” Patton and I am the program coordinator for the JAZ program. JAZ is operated by Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) an agency that serves more than 50 schools in the Mt. Diablo, Antioch, and Bay Area. I am so excited to be working with the students and families of Jefferson Elementary to create an after school program that is transformative and fun!

Families who are interested in enrolling their child/ children into the JAZ program for the 2016-2017 school year should complete a registration packet as soon as possible. Registration must be completed by returning families as well.

Download the JAZ Registration 2016-17 PDF packet and print out, fill out, and drop off at school OR fill out electronically and email to JAZ Coordinator Jessica Patton. Staff are in the office this summer and will be processing applications as they come in.

Completing the registration packet does not guarantee your child’s enrollment into the program. Registration will be first priority to retuning JAZ students, students needing scholarship, and then on a first come first serve bases. Once JAZ has reached it’s maximum capacity all other registration packets will be placed on the waiting list.

Once a registration packet has been completed in full and admitted to the Coordinator, the family is encouraged to attend the parent orientation on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 6pm in the Jefferson School Library. Families unable to attend orientation will need to pick up, review, and sign a parent handbook and return it on the first day of school.

Best Regards,
Jessica Patton
