Physical Education at Jefferson
A YMCA-led P.E. program began on in October 2007. The P.E. program includes weekly classes for all children and supervised activities on the yard during both morning and lunch recess periods. Games and sports will be introduced during P.E. classes and then will be led by our YMCA teacher on the yard. Come by and say hello to Blake who will be our new PE and yard activities leader.
For the 2007-2008 school year, we also have the Art Anchor dance program with folklorico dance classes for all of our students. Steven Koneff-Klatt will teach ten weeks of folklorico dance, culminating in a school wide assembly presentation.
Both our dance and P.E. programs are designed to give children fun and engaging ways to stay active and engaged at school.
